    IBIA is pleased to announce that on May 13, it hosted its first educational webinar for TSA and OBIM staff on iris recognition “Iris Recognition: Technology, Background, and its Future in our Touchless Identity World.” In addition to the technology expertise provided by Iris ID speakers Tim Meyerhoff and Tom DeWinter, other participants also included Jason Thompson, Border Patrol Deputy Chief, Christopher Grant, US Marshals Service, Prisoner Operations Division, and Anthony Iasso, Incadence Corporation, to discuss existing deployments. During the Q&A, the focus of the large audience was on the technology, suggesting there is a need for other educational webinars.
