FPF Privacy Landscape call NEXT TUESDAY: March 20, 2018 4pm-5pm ET (FPF.org, Mar 15, 2018)
Each month, the Future of Privacy Forum hosts a call with thought leaders to discuss topical issues related to privacy and responsible data use.

FPF's monthly Privacy Landscape call is scheduled for next Tuesday, March 20, 2018 from 4pm-5pm ET.

We are fortunate to be joined by folks from the data portability team at Google, who will discuss the latest developments regarding Google's data portability efforts, including the Google Takeout service, which provides users with tools to download data from Google services. They'll also discuss the Data Transfer Project. Data portability promises to be an increasingly important issue for online services in light of GDPR Art. 20, which provides users with rights to access and retrieve personal data in some circumstances.

We are also fortunate to be joined by Marty Abrams, Executive Director of the Information Accountability Foundation, who will highlight recent privacy related developments in the Americas (primarily Latin America and Canada), with an eye to how those developments interact with the policy debates in the US, Europe, and elsewhere.
