IBIA members define the priorities and agenda of the association, develop strategies to achieve IBIA goals, and participate in activities through IBIA working groups.

Public Policy and Advocacy
Plans and organizes IBIA's public policy agenda to effectively advocate on member priority issues pending before Congress, federal agencies, and states. Priorities include healthcare, E-verify, privacy in the mobile sector, border, maritime, and aviation security.

Identity Management for the Mobile Sector
Organizes dialogue with stakeholders in the mobile sector about developing a framework for the role of identity management that will support growth in the mobile sector.

Identity Management for the Healthcare Sector
Develops strategies to support the use of biometrics in healthcare and white papers on the benefits and cost effectiveness of biometrics and identity management technologies.

Identity Management Awareness
Focuses on raising awareness about the efficacy of identity management solutions in mainstream business and government, addressing the challenges still facing biometrics, and more generally, the identity management sector, as well as the positive benefits of identification technologies.
