Walter Hamilton - Chairman of the Board
(ID Tech Partners)
Mr. Hamilton is a Senior Consultant with Identification Technology Partners (IDTP). Mr. Hamilton brings valuable experience in the biometric industry and plays a vital role as a recognized industry authority and subject matter expert. Prior to his association with IDTP, Mr. Hamilton served as Vice President and General Manager; Biometric Solutions for Saflink Corporation where he helped lead that company’s transition from proprietary fingerprint biometric products to an open-systems multi-biometric software solution provider. Mr. Hamilton has been committed to advancing biometric technologies and is an advocate for adoption of open standards, crucial for industry development. Mr. Hamilton is a welcomed presenter and panelist at industry and government symposiums and conferences. Mr. Hamilton was recently elected to a third term as Chairman of the International Biometric Industry Association (IBIA), a Washington, D.C.-based non-profit trade association. He also serves as Chairman of The Biometric Foundation (TBF), a non-profit research and education organization. Prior to joining Saflink in 1995, Mr. Hamilton completed a distinguished 30-year career with Unisys Corporation.

William  Spence - Treasurer
(Lumidigm)
Mr. Spence is the Vice President of Transaction Systems at Lumidigm Inc. A pioneer in the commercialization of biometrics, Mr. Spence has been at the forefront of biometric technology and its application since 1991. Today, he leads the Lumidigm business unit that applies its patented multispectral fingerprint technology to transactional systems in markets such as physical access control and time & attendance.

Mr. Spence first became involved with biometrics at Recognition Systems (now Ingersoll Rand), the world’s largest manufacturer of hand geometry biometric products. His experience also includes the development of fingerprint markets while at Identix (now L-1 Identity Solutions). In roles such as VP of Business Development, VP of Marketing, and General Manager, Mr. Spence has driven the expansion of the commercial markets for biometric products while maintaining a focused business discipline, resulting in some of the industry’s most profitable biometric products and companies. Mr. Spence is a widely published author of articles describing the use of biometrics in access control and time & attendance applications. Publications include articles in Security Technology and Design, PAYTECH Magazine, Security Distribution and Marketing, Security Products, Business Solutions, and several international journals.

In addition to serving on the Board of Directors of the International Biometric Industry Association (IBIA), Mr. Spence is the Vice Chairman of the Security Industry Association’s Biometric Subcommittee. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Engineering from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, California.

James Ziglar - Director
(Cross Match Technologies)
The Honorable James W. Ziglar - President and Chief Executive Officer Mr. Ziglar brings more than 40 years of experience in management, marketing, finance, law, and public policy to his active leadership of Cross Match. He was named President, CEO and a Director in August 2005 after having served as a member of Cross Match's Advisory Board since 2003. Prior to joining Cross Match, Mr. Ziglar was a Managing Director and Chief Business Strategist for a division of UBS Financial Services, Inc., in New York City, and had a total of 17 years' experience as an investment banker. He also practiced law for eight years. Mr. Ziglar was elected as Sergeant at Arms of the United States Senate in 1998, and in August 2001, he was confirmed by the U.S. Senate as Commissioner of the Immigration and Naturalization Service. Mr. Ziglar was a Distinguished Visiting Professor of Law at The George Washington University Law School, and a Fellow at Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government Institute of Politics. In addition, Mr. Ziglar has served at various times during his career as an Assistant Secretary of the Interior, as a law clerk to U.S. Supreme Court Associate Justice Harry A. Blackmun, as a congressional and public affairs officer in the U.S. Department of Justice, and as an aide to the Chairman of the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee. Mr. Ziglar is a member of the Board of Directors of the International Biometric Industry Association, and serves as a Member of the Division of Earth and Life Studies of the National Academy of Sciences. He earned his undergraduate and law degrees from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C. He has been admitted to the bar in Virginia, New York, Arizona, and the District of Columbia.

Bernard Gautier - Director
(Sagem Morpho)
Bernard Gautier is the President and CEO of Sagem Morpho Inc. Under his leadership since 2004, SMI has expanded its biometric identity solutions in North America to a growing number of customers in the law enforcement community, homeland security, and other government agencies, as well as consumer and commercial markets. These multi-biometric solutions include fingerprint, facial, and iris recognition.

For 25 years, Mr. Gautier has held a variety of management positions in research, development and manufacturing in high technology industries at SAGEM, Johnson Controls and SAFRAN. Sagem Morpho is a wholly owned subsidiary of Sagem Securité, a company in the SAFRAN Group.

Mr. Gautier graduated from École Supérieure d'Électricité, a top French university in electrical engineering and computer science, and earned a master’s degree from Stanford University.

Joseph Atick - Vice Chairman
(L-1 Identity Solutions)
Dr. Joseph Atick is Executive Vice President and Chief Strategic Officer of L-1 Identity Solutions, where he sets overall strategic direction for product development, technology investment and support of merger and acquisition activities. Dr. Atick is known as one of the early pioneers of the biometrics industry, having seen through its early phases through the validation and commercialization growth phase we are witnessing now. Prior to joining L-1 Identity Solutions, Dr. Atick served as President and CEO of Identix, today an L-1 Identity Solutions Company. Prior to that, he had co-founded one of the original facial recognition companies, Visionics Corporation. Over the years, Dr. Atick co-founded and managed several companies focused on technology transfer and development, and has served as a technical advisor to many high-tech enterprises and organizations, including NATO. He had also led the Computational Neuroscience Laboratory at Rockefeller University and the Neural Cybernetics Group at the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton, New Jersey. Dr. Atick is a highly sought after speaker at high level industry conferences and a frequent commentator in the media. He has also been asked to testify several times before congressional committees. Dr. Atick holds a Ph.D. in Mathematical Physics from Stanford University.

Christer Bergman - Secretary
(WCC)
Mr. Bergman is the founder of Novexus, LLC a business development consultancy company based in Vienna, Virginia. Since 2000, Mr. Bergman has been a well-known business leader in the Security and Biometrics industry. He currently serves as Board of Director for SweCard AB and for Quard Technology AS. The focus of his services is within the Biometrics and Security industry as well as business development and business expansion for non-US based companies into the US marketplace.

Mr. Bergman was the President of Precise Biometrics, Inc., between 2000 and 2006, and President and CEO of Precise Biometrics, AB, between 2001 and 2006. He also served as a Member of the Precise Biometrics Board of Directors between 2005 until 2007

Prior to joining Precise Biometrics, he held numerous positions in the high tech industries in the US and Europe. Among the positions he served was President & CEO of VIDAR Systems Corporation, Regional Director of Informix Software Scandinavia and Sales Director for Hewlett Packard in Sweden. Mr. Bergman earned a Master of Science Degree from the Lund Institute of Technology in Sweden, as well as from University of California, Berkeley.

Mr. Bergman is a member of the board of the International Biometrics Industry Association (IBIA). He is also active in the Smart Card Alliance. In 2003, Mr. Bergman testified at an oversight hearing on "Advancements in Smart Card and Biometric Technology", in the US Congress House of Representatives' Government Reform Committee's Subcommittee on Technology, Information Policy, Intergovernmental Relations and the Census. Mr. Bergman resides in Virginia with his wife and three sons.

Frank De Fina - Director
(Panasonic Digital Telecommunications & Security Company)
Frank DeFina is the President of Panasonic System Solutions Company of America (PSSA), a leading supplier of video security and surveillance systems products; iris recognition systems for access control and identity management; industrial and medical imaging products; point of sale and wireless audio systems; retailTV™ digital signage solutions and large screen display systems. Since joining the company in 1982, Mr. DeFina has played an integral role in the introduction of numerous professional products and technologies marketed under the Panasonic brand name. Prior management positions at Panasonic include: President, Panasonic Broadcast & Television Systems Company; Vice President, Panasonic Industrial/Medical Company; National Sales Manager, Panasonic Professional Video Division; and Product Marketing Manager, Professional CCD Cameras. Recently, he launched his own blog to communicate more with customers in an informal way, www.blog.panasonic.com/frank. Mr. DeFina holds positions on the Executive Board of the Security Industry Association (SIA), the International Biometrics Industry Association (IBIA) and Museum of Television and Radio in New York City.

Ming Hsieh - Director
(Cogent Systems, Inc.)
Mr. Hsieh has served as CEO, president and chairman of the Board of Directors since founding Cogent in 1990. He is responsible for the company’s executive management, including long-range planning and corporate growth, as well as developing and implementing company policies, procedures and philosophies. Cogent is a leading provider of Automated Fingerprint Identification Systems, or AFIS, and other fingerprint biometric solutions to governments, law enforcement agencies and other organizations worldwide.

Charles  Koo - Director
(LG Electronics)
Charles Koo is the CEO of LG Electronics USA, Iris Technology Division. He had the vision for, and was instrumental in establishing tthe Global Business Unit responsible for the direction and performance of all of LG iris recognition activities worldwide. Until recently Chairman of LG Electronics USA, a subsidiary of LG Electronics Inc, Mr. Koo was also responsible for establishing, and running LG Executive Office of the Americas, an entity that served as a catalyst to leverage LG presence across markets in both North and South America—an important step in the visible global emergence of LG as a manufacturer of LG branded products in addition to its extensive undertakings in the OEM sector. Prior to his work to consolidate group activities in North America, Mr. Koo was President and CEO of LG Trading, Inc. Mr. Koo has worked for LG for more than 30 years. In addition to his current executive responsibilities driving the development and propagation of new technologies and looking for synergy for iris recognition-based authentication within other LG lines of business, Mr. Koo also serves as Vice-Chairman of LG Corp., the publicly-traded (Korea Stock Exchange) holding company for an $85+billion enterprise active in Electronics, Chemicals, Telecommunications and Services. Married and a father, he enjoys golf, travel, opera and the arts.

F. Scott Moody - Director
(AuthenTec, Inc.)
Scott Moody is Chairman and CEO of AuthenTec, the leading provider of fingerprint sensors. Since founding AuthenTec (NASDAQ: AUTH) in 1998, Mr. Moody has been responsible for its overall strategic direction, fund raising, business development and the management of AuthenTec’s day-to-day operations. The company has assembled a highly qualified team; introduced new products at a rapid pace; quickly ramped to production and developed strong relationships with industry partners. Mr. Moody was previously Vice President of a $200 million division of Harris Semiconductor (now Intersil). During his tenure at Harris, Mr. Moody led the very successful turnaround of several diverse operations including the repositioning of the commodity logic business, which was eventually sold to Texas Instruments, the acquisition and repositioning of GE Microelectronics and the highly profitable turn around of the Group's Military/Aerospace business. Mr. Moody began his career at Harris in 1980 where he gained experience in both the Semiconductor and Electronic Systems Sectors, including functional experience in engineering, manufacturing, program management, marketing and general management. Mr. Moody received a BS in Industrial Engineering from North Carolina State in 1980 and an executive MBA from the University of Florida in 1987.

Jack  Hiett - Director
(Motorola)
Jack Hiett is currently the General Manager for the Motorola Biometrics’ Business Unit headquartered in Anaheim, California. He has been with the business unit for 8 years in a variety of capacities including MSSI Vice President of Customer Integration and Support. Jack had originally joined Printrak International in September of 1999 as Director of Operations Support, and was promoted to Vice President of Customer Service in August of 2000. During that time, Jack also assumed responsibilities of General Manager for the Sunrise organization operating out of the Biometrics Business Unit in Anaheim.

Prior to joining Printrak, Jack was the Senior Vice President of Operations at MTI Technology where he managed a worldwide organization delivering and supporting a wide variety of data storage and networking solutions.

Jack has over 25 years experience in the hi-tech industry with management positions at a number of companies including Sun Microsystems, Wang Laboratories and Data General. He majored in Journalism at North Texas State University before joining the U.S. Navy where he was a member of the submarine service. He attended the Tulsa University Business School, as well as completing Louisiana State University’s Executive Management Development Program.
